George was born March 6, 1922 at Edgefield, South Carolina and moved to Port Charlotte in 1988 from Hollis, NY. Member of Community Life Center of Full Gospel Assembly of God for many years. A World War II veteran, serving proudly in the U.S. Army. He was a retired sanitation worker for the New York City Transit Authority and was a member of the NYC Transit Retirees Chapter 11. George will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Kathleen Mackey; a cousin, Amanda Davis of Flushing, NY.
Visitation will be held 10-11 AM, Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Community Life Center of Full Gospel Ministries Assembly of God, 19048 Edgewater Drive Port Charlotte, FL 33948 with Funeral Services to follow at 11AM. Pastor Mark Coffey will officiate. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Port Charlotte, FL.
