George was born February 6, 1944 in Seattle, Washington to the late Edward Russell Strayer and Dorothy Beatrice (Kinney) Strayer. George served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survived by a sister, Joanne Bradney of Sherborn, MA; and a brother, Thomas Strayer of Sevierville, TN.
Private interment with military honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida.
