Gerald F. Musgraves, 78, of Port Charlotte and formerly of Flint, Michigan, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Gerald was born September 16, 1934 in Advance, Missouri. A veteran with the U.S. Army, he served as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne unit. Following his military service, he worked for General Motors as a machine repairman in Flint, Michigan until his retirement. Gerald was a kind, loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by all the people he touched.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 5 years, Barbara; children, Sandra and husband Michael Michaud of Port Charlotte, and Kimberly Hayes of Delray Beach, FL; and four grandchildren, Kristin and husband Adam Henry of Port Charlotte, Rebeca Warram also of Port Charlotte, Andrew Michael Hayes, Jr. and wife Nicole of Tampa, FL, and Theresa Hayes also of Tampa; brother and sister-in-law, Derald and Mary Gearing; cousins, Gary and Linda Fulmer, Rosati and Jerry Johnson, and Diana and Dave Hoyt all of FL. Gerald was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn, and parents Ervin and Charity (Rable) Musgraves.
Viewing for Gerald will be held from 6 to 8 PM. Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Funeral services be will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 30, at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail.
