Mrs. Geraldine (Haas) Martin, 63, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 10, 2010.

Geraldine was born March 3, 1946 in New York, New York and moved to Port Charlotte 35 years ago from there. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was a sales clerk for Wal-Mart Supercenter. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who loved and knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Carl Travis Martin, four sons, Tom Haas, Jr. of Port Charlotte, FL, Anthony Haas of Dahlonega, GA, Bobby Haas and Adam Thompson of North Port, FL; two daughters, Lori Ann Haas of Amarillo, TX and Jessica Martin of Doniphan, MO; two sisters, Anne Belding and Rose Mary McCloud of Port Charlotte, FL; a brother, Tom McCloud of Northern Florida; 12 grandchildren, Amber, Joey, Morgan, Alicia, Kristie, Brooke, Brock, Jake, Allen, Hailey, Dawson, and Alexis and her dear long friend of 58 years, Sue Everett.

she welcomed me in to the family with open arms and was always so polite and kid to me. I married her baby brother, but she made me feel like I had always been her sister not just a sister-n-law. I remember laughing and having a great time with her and the family telling stories about things they did when they were younger she will truly be missed always.
