Geraldine “Geri” Jane Taylor, 74, of Port Charlotte and New Lothrop, Michigan died Sunday, February 02, 2014 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.

She was born August 1, 1939 in Flint, Michigan and has been wintering in Port Charlotte for twenty five years. Dan and Geri were avid travelers and members of the Michigan Knights of the Highway, Family Motor Coach Association, Trinity United Methodist Church in Chesaning, Michigan and Golf Cove United Methodist in Pt. Charlotte. Geri was famous for her pies and loved to shop. She enjoyed knitting Victorian Beaded Purses.

Survived by her loving husband, Daniel A. Taylor of New Lothrop; three sons, Jeffrey A. (Brenda) Taylor of Port Charlotte and Douglas Scott (Janelle) Taylor of New Lothrop, MI and Scott Daniel (special friend Aimee) Taylor of Conyers, GA; a daughter, Sue Ann (Daniel) Bishop of St. Charles, MI; Nine grandchildren (Taylor, Terry and Travis Bishop, Zachery, Isaiah, Noah, Savannah and Faith Taylor all of Michigan, and Heather Taylor of Georgia).

There will be a visitation Monday, February 10, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 11, 2014 with visitation at Gulf Cove United Methodist Church 1100 S McCall Rd, Port Charlotte, FL 33981. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Michigan.

Friends may visit www.robersonfh.com to sign the memory book and extend condolences to the family. Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Charlotte Chapel.

Dan and Family, We were shocked and saddened when hearing the news of Geri's death. Words cannot express our saddness for your family. We know what it is like to lose a loved one. You all have been in our thoughts through out the days since we heard about this. We can not get it off our minds. We had sooooo many good times as neighbors and friends. Especially the card games and now the monthly meals we shared at the Junction. It sure will not be the same without Geri.
