She was born November 18, 1913 in Franklin, New Hampshire and moved to Port Charlotte in 1972 from West Springfield, Massachusetts. Mrs. Lorenz was the former owner and operator of Riverview Motel in Charlotte Harbor. In Massachusetts she was the former owner and operator of Walnut Rest Home in Hampden, Elliott’s Beauty Shop and Security Lunch in Springfield. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Port Charlotte and the Catholic Council of Women. Member of American Legion Post #110 Auxiliary and V.F.W. Post #5690 Auxiliary both of Port Charlotte.

She is survived by two step-daughters, Cecilia Hembree of Port Charlotte and Cathy Lorenz of Arcadia, FL; two step-sons, Robert S. Lorenz of Fort Myers, FL and Charles H. Lorenz of Agawam, MA; two sisters, Rita Tetrault and Annette Miller both of Springfield, MA; a brothers, Roger Blais of Franklin, NH; 3 grandchildren, Jacqueline Harder of Gramby,CT, Ryan Hembree of Port Charlotte, FL and Stephanie Lorenze of Agawam, MA; 3 great grandchildren , 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
