Gloria M. Wasko, 68, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away on Friday, May 31st, 2013, at her Punta Gorda residence.
Born and raised in Carteret, New Jersey, she lived in Elizabeth, N.J. for over 40 years before moving to Florida in 2000. She was previously employed by the state of New Jersey before retiring in 2000.
She is survived by two daughters, Valerie J. Alling and her husband William of Fort Myers, Florida, and Kathleen S. Rohr and her husband Todd of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers, Dennis Wasko of Linden, NJ, and Joseph Wasko of Wisconsin; one sister, Regina Mason of Parlin, NJ; five grandchildren, Kerri Lynn Dukes and her husband Michael, Morgan Casey, Kyle Wasko, and Brianna and Rachel Alling; and two great grandchildren, Noah and Audrianna Casey. In addition to her late parents, Anna and Joseph Wasko, Gloria was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Gorecki, earlier this year.
Memorial donations in Gloria’s name are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
