GRACE A. RIPPEL, 73, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, Florida.

Grace was born February 12, 1943 in Newark, New Jersey. She lived for many years in Matawan, New Jersey before moving to Deep Creek, Punta Gorda with her husband Rip in 2003. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who placed family above all, and she will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Anthony Rippel of Punta Gorda; daughter, Jennifer Rippel and her husband, Louis Franco of Northampton, Massachusetts, daughter, Danielle Klaboe of Charlestown, Rhode Island, mother, Rose Arato of Wilmington, North Carolina, brother, Anthony Arato and his wife Adelee of Wilmington, North Carolina, sister, Rosemary Didato of Tucson, Arizona; and a beloved granddaughter, Sophia Grace Klaboe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 11:00 AM, October 4, 2016 at San Antonio Catholic Church, 24445 Rampart Blvd., Port Charlotte, Florida 33980.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Grace may be made to the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation, 5202 Paylor Lane, Sarasota, FL 34240.
