Harold was born in Hartford, Connecticut on July 16, 1919 to the late Gertrude and Harold DeWitt LaFayette. Harold loved his computer, flying airplanes, and traveling, but most of all Harold and his wife Alice loved the church, that was the biggest part of their lives.
Harold was the beloved husband for 65 years to Alice M. LaFayette who preceded him in death in 2000. A daughter, Andrea Jones, also preceded him in death. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Betty LaFayette; a daughter, Alice Lawson; and many grand and great grandchildren.
A celebration of Harold’s life will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Port Charlotte.
Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory Port Charlotte Chapel.
