Robert and Anne retired to Port Charlotte in 1979 where she expanded her talents to counted cross-stitching, painting, drawing, fan making card embroidery. In her later years, she worked with hundreds of jigsaw puzzles. Family was very important to her. Prior to computers, she researched her family tree back 8 generations sharing all she learned with her family. The importance of family also showed in her annual return trips to Minden, Nebraska for family reunions. These events were greatly cherished by all her family.
