Harry Spiridakos, 41, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, April 8, 2011 surrounded by his loving family at Tidewell Hospice Inc. in Port Charlotte.

Harry was born August 28, 1969 in Stamford, Connecticut and moved to Port Charlotte 3 years ago from Stamford, Ct. He was the manager of Stamford Volvo for 18 years before moving to Florida. He was a faithful employee at Hazeltine Nursery Inc. in Venice, FL before he became ill. Harry was a devoted husband and father and loving to his family and friends. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be missed exceedingly by all who loved and knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Francesca C. Spiridakos; his son, Thomas Anthony Spiridakos of Port Charlotte, FL; his mother, Panagiota Spiridakos of Stamford, CT and his sisters, Helen Tsartsabalidis and Dimitra Rigos both of Stamford, CT and several nieces and nephews.

I think about Harry almost every day , he would always make me laugh. He brightened many peoples lives and it is true that only the good die young. Fran I hope you are doing well. Mr. Spridakos insisted we call him Harry. In spite of his illness, he was engaging, pleasant, and genuinely interested in how we were doing. Just talking to him, you knew he was all about his family in doing what he could to make things easier on them when he passes. We were deeply saddened to hear that he passed away, and his family is in our thoughts and prayers.
