Helen M. Grandey, 86, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 in Port Charlotte.

Helen was born June 16, 1925 in Poland, and moved to Port Charlotte in 1981 from Maryland with her husband Gordon B. Grandey. Formerly an employee for Carrier Heating and Air Conditioning, Helen, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Englewood, FL.

She is survived by her daughters, Jean E. Leveque of Englewood, FL, and Karen (Nicholas) Nazarenko of PA; grandsons Justin and Alex Nazarenko also of PA; sisters, Rose Bashaw, Mary Reichenbach, and Wanda (Donald) Cusimano, all of NY; several nieces and nephews; and her close personal friend, Philip Dorval of Port Charlotte, FL.

A Memorial Mass for Helen will be held Friday 10 AM, February 17, 2012 St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 5265 Placida Road, Englewood, FL 34224. Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Homes & Crematory Port Charlotte Chapel.
