As a member of the Murdock Baptist Church, Hermann Rosemond, served in various ministries, including visiting the sick. He often shared with others memories from a visit with a fellow Christian brother who was in hospice care. Hermann wasn’t sure what exactly he would say to this dying man. Turns out, Hermann would say, he didn’t need to say anything.
From his hospice bed, the brother explained: “Hermann, I have my plane ticket in hand, a one way-ticket to Jesus. Right now, I am in the boarding area, just waiting for Him to call my name.” After that visit, Hermann told this story often as he wanted everyone to know that he, too, had a ticket to Jesus and was rejoicing and looking forward to seeing his Savior.
On Thursday, September 2, 2021, the Lord called Hermann’s name. With ticket in hand, Hermann Rosemond, 78, of Port Charlotte, entered into eternal life. And no doubt, the Lord welcomed him saying “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21 (KJV) (emphasis added)
