He often shared with others memories from a visit with a fellow Christian brother who was in hospice care. Hermann wasn’t sure what exactly he would say to this dying man. Turns out, Hermann would say, he didn’t need to say anything.
From his hospice bed, the brother explained: “Hermann, I have my plane ticket in hand, a one way-ticket to Jesus. Right now, I am in the boarding area, just waiting for Him to call my name.” After that visit, Hermann told this story often as he wanted everyone to know that he, too, had a ticket to Jesus and was rejoicing and looking forward to seeing his Savior.
On Thursday, September 2, 2021, the Lord called Hermann’s name. With ticket in hand, Hermann Rosemond, 78, of Port Charlotte, entered into eternal life. And no doubt, the Lord welcomed him saying “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21 (KJV) (emphasis added)
On Saturday, September 18, 2021, Olga, Michelle, and Herlande will celebrate Mr. Rosemond, for a life well-lived.

Uncle Herman absence will be felt in the many lives that he touched directly or indirectly. He was a source of guidance and wisdom and to a lot of us a father figure. He taught us to live with love, integrity and kindness. He taught us to put education first and foremost as it was our way of leaving a mark in this world. Uncle Herman always received you with a soft voice and a kind smile and that’s what I’ll remember the most about him. He was accepting and willing to help anyone as long as they were willing to help themselves. Thank you Uncle Herman for all that you are and all that you’ve done.

I'll miss Dad Rosemond (Mr. Hermann). My fondest memory is hanging out with him on the Sofa in DC and watching basketball. I believe that visit I was also privileged to partake of Mom Rosemond's rice and peas. Dad Rosemond's wisdom will remain with me. His words of encouragement and his gentle, loving, and kind spirit are qualities that I desire to emulate. His physical presence, even his smile heard through the phone, is deeply missed. I enjoyed Herman and his love for our Lord, served with him in Cuba and are small mission group. As I have aged I got a floater in my eye very aggravating. Some how Herman and I got on the subject of my floater and I felt if it was going to be something I had to live with I would make friends with it, I named it Herman, I told him every time it floats by I say hello Herman, he will be missed. So many people I know are already home looking forward to that day my self. I will be on a mission trip on the18th and so sorry I will miss his service. Praying for you Olga and the family, having lost my husband 5 years ago I know how you are hurting if there is anything I can do for you please let me know. In Christ perfect love Sharon

The words that Herlande used to let me know that her dad is now with Jesus explained the situation in its entirety. Not only did these words convey the fact that our Hermann had passed but that he had reached his goal for eternity to be with the Creator of the Universe.
Hermann was a kind man and a true gentleman and always put others before himself. He is undoubtedly missed by family, Friends, Coworkers, neighbors and all of his Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
Hermann always boasted about his beautiful family of which he was so proud, and we are sure that he meant so much to all of you also.
Hermann was a true friend for me, a confidant, a walking medical dictionary, a walking Old and New Testament Professor. Most of all we considered ourselves Brothers and often referred to each other as brothers from another mother.
The bottom line is that as we all know time goes by very quickly and that because of our faith we will again be in the company of our Dear Hermann.
Thank you very much for sharing Hermann with us and see you again Hermann.
