Born May 17, 1958 in Punta Gorda, Holly, a graduate of Charlotte High School, class of 1976, went on following high school to begin a long career providing help and assistance to victims of abuse and rape. She worked for C.A.R.E. (Center for Abuse & Rape Emergencies) and the Victims Services Center of Charlotte County. Holly raised a daughter and a son, and was an active, vital member of the community.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her parents, Julia Moore of Punta Gorda, FL, and Henry Hamilton Sr. of Fort Myers, FL; her two children, Tamaira Harris-Spears, and Jermarl Harris; a daughter-in-law, Toni Spears; a loving granddaughter, Jada Miller and a step-grandson, Tiyon Spears; four siblings, Henry Hamilton Jr. (spouse Kathy), Terry Hamilton, Darle Kline and Jocelyn Carter; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relative and friends.
Holly will be truly missed, but God knew best.
“You bid no one a last farewell or never told us goodbye. You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why. A million times we needed you. A million times we cried, and if love alone could have saved you, never would you have died. In life we loved you dearly. In death we love you still. In our hearts you still hold a place no one can ever fill. It broke our hearts to see you go but you didn’t go alone. A part of us went with you until the day God called you home. So sleep on, go on and take your rest. We love you but God loved you best. R.I.P. Baby girl.”
At Holly’s personal direction, there will be no services.
