Howard Davis, 92, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Wednesday, October 13, 2010
in Harbour Health Center, Port Charlotte.
He was born November 8, 1917 in Port Vue, Pennsylvania to the late Albert E. and Lily Thomas Davis and moved to Port Charlotte in 1982 from Carnegie, Pennsylvania. A graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and a veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired Senior Systems Consultant for Gulf Oil Corporation and a member of the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church.
Survived by a daughter, Virginia L. Davis of Woodinville, Washington; and two sisters,
Florence Robinson of Zelienople, PA and Emma J. Keim of Port Charlotte, FL. He was preceded
in death by his parents, wife, Rev. Gladys M. Davis, a daughter, Margaret Davis, two sisters, and three brothers.
Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date at the Port Charlotte United
Methodist Church followed by military honors and interment in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
