HUMBERTO A. DAVIS, 58, of Punta Gorda, Florida died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at his residence.
He was born August 5, 1955 in the Republic of Panama and moved to Florida in 2004 from Wichita, Kansas. Humberto retired as Technical Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. His overseas assignments included serving in Turkey, Germany, Korea and Panama. He received a Joint Service Achievement Medial for Operation Desert Storm and a Joint Service Commendation Medal for Operation Provide Comfort. He received his Associates Degree in Accounting from Wichita Area Technical College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Southwestern College.
He is survived by his loving family, his son, Arrun Davis of Punta Gorda; his mother, Marva Davis of Punta Gorda; a sister, Sonia Ibanez of Panama; and a brother, Alonzo Ibanez of Panama.
Visitation will be held Thurs. July 3, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM. Pastor Walter T. Branch of the Deep Creek Worship Center will officiate. Interment and committal services with military honors a U.S. Air Force Honor Guard will be held Thurs. 12:30 PM, July 3, 2014 at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida.
