Irving Langell, Jr., 77, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care in Port Charlotte, FL.
Irving was born June 8, 1931 in Marine City, Michigan and moved to Port Charlotte 20 years ago from Algonac, Michigan. He served his country proudly and was a Prisoner of War during the Korean War, and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1968. He retired from Michigan

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Gloria Langell; two sons, Scott (Lyn) Langell of Columbus, MI and Robert McNiff of Clay Twp, MI; three daughters, Cheryl Lavasco of Englewood,FL, Pam (Charles) Troesch of Port Charlotte, FL and Becky (Bill) Clarke of Clay Twp, MI.; a brother, Richard Langell of CA; two sisters, Carol Morris of CA and Leora Blain of Texas; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; as well as many more friends and family who loved him. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Langell.
