James was born March 23, 1921 in New York, New York and moved to Port Charlotte in 1991 from Long Island, NY. He was a WWII veteran who served proudly and faithfully for the U.S. Air force and retired from the military as a Tech Sergeant. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and will be missed greatly by all who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary A. Banks; a daughter, Beverly Chevere of Flushing, NY; James Banks, Jr. of Laurel, MD and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Inurnment will be held at a later date by the family.
