James “Jimmy/Nick” Leslie Niccolls passed away peacefully on October 16, 2022 at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte following a long battle with cancer at the age of 75.
Jim was born on March 6, 1947 to Wesley Niccolls and Doris Janer. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Douglas and Jeffrey Niccolls as well as his sister, Barbara Niccolls Tillotson. James is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Niccolls Phillips (Andrew); ex-wife and friend, Cindy Niccolls; brothers, Wesley Niccolls, Jr.(Oliver) and John Niccolls; sister, Linda Niccolls Atkins (Colin); niece Nicole Tillotson and many cousins including beloved Hugh Leslie Ball, Jr. (Sonny) and a very special feline friend lovingly named, Killer.
They say the idea is to die young as late as possible and Jim encompassed that ideology through and through. He had a zest for life that never aged or dulled. Anybody who knew Jim knows he was the most magnetic, charming and funny guy in the room. A true social butterfly making friends everywhere he went and leaving a lasting impression with all those who were lucky enough to share a table or drink with him. Jim had a love for classic cars and lighthouses, but nothing exceeded the love he had for his daughter Tiffany. A doting father to not only her but all those in need of a good hug and a smile. A sweet and gentle soul that will forever be cherished and missed.
A celebration of life service will be held and announced to family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice Inc. at www.Tidewellfoundation.org/donate.
Arrangements by Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory Port Charlotte Chapel.
