Jason Earl Wolfe entered this life in Akron, Ohio, star date, July 10, 1975, and traveled to his final home, star date, December 18, 2023.
Although his lifespan was only 48 trips around the sun, Jason lived. He traveled, learned, loved, wrote, and experienced life. He did it with an enthusiasm that most humans cannot grasp. And he laughed— contagiously and often too loudly.
Jason was a force of nature, a whirlwind of creativity, a man who embraced the universe and all ‘she’ offered. Raised in Mogadore, OH, he graduated from Bowling Green University where he learned that his personality and skills would take him down the path of several careers. Jason engaged in the fields of flooring to solar to financial. He brought his own style of unique talents and passion to every task. He embraced anyone he met with a welcoming smile and sincerity that made each feel valued. He was a ‘Pied Piper’ to all children.
He could tell tales that ignited your imagination or write articles that could paint a canvas that shouted about his experiences or whispered secrets from his soul. One thing was certain, he infused every moment with boundless passion and unwavering authenticity.
Among those who will always miss him are mother, Sherry (Givens) Penfield, Grandmother, Marie Givens; siblings, Brandy Wolfe, Dow (Nicole) Wolfe, Kathleen (Al Middlecoop) Powers-Middlecoop, Melanie (Brad) Phelps, Jennifer Penfield; daughter Kayleigh LeVeck; stepmother Kathryn Wolfe, aunts Candace (Givens) Schupay & Christine Givens, Christine (David) Kuhl and uncle John (Maggie) Wolfe; nieces, Rebecca Wolfe, Holly (Dan) Toth, & Devon Zuk; nephews Richard (Angela) Powers, Nathan & Andrew Wolfe and Ryan Zuk and great nephews Revan and Quinlan Powers, cousin, Deanna Brewster. Jason was preceded in death by his father, Dow O. Wolfe, Jr. grandparents Dow & Eloise Wolfe and grandfather, Earl Givens as well as Aunt Cathy (Wayne) Brewster.
Though he has departed this earthly realm, J will thrive in the hearts and minds of all who loved him and were fortunate enough to have shared in his adventures. We will hold him close, smiling in gratitude for times we shared and, when our time arrives, he will welcome us with his infamous greeting: “so glad you’re here.”
A celebration of J’s extraordinary life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 2-5pm at the home of Dow and Nicole Wolfe. Friends and family are invited to gather to reminisce about his remarkable journey. (For address, email slpenfield@yahoo.com).
