She was born January 1, 1928 in Jamaica, West Indies and moved to Port Charlotte in 1990 from New York, New York. She was a member of St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Port Charlotte, Florida.
Jean is survived by her loving family, husband of 58 years, Ferdinand A. Bennett of Port Charlotte, Florida; four daughters, Faye Davis, Beverly Bennett both of Brooklyn, New York, Jennifer Colon of Port Charlotte, Florida and Marjorie Tribbett of Dallas, Texas; a son, Anthony Bennett of Miami, Florida; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild..
Visitation will be held Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel with a Catholic Wake Service at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 11:00 AM, September 26, 2005 at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Port Charlotte, Florida. Interment will follow at restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte, Florida.
