My grandmother, the late Gertrude Potter Priestley, mother to my mother the late Edith Ann Priestley Knotts was the sister of Aunt Jeanette. I am very sorry that we lost touch with Aunt Jeanette in her later years. I often thought of her with loving memories. She was always so beautiful and glamorous to me. I remember many things about she and Uncle Jim from my young childhood when they came often to visit from Florida. I slightly remember when they lived at some beautiful apartment in or near Wilmington. It had tan bricks on the outside of the building. I have a beautiful fabric painting that Aunt Jeanette gave to me of colorful birds and flowers. She painted it herself along with matching cloth napkins. I think she gave them to me for a wedding present in 1977. She loved bright colors around her and I remember how she loved her little poodle very much too. The best memory I have of Uncle Jim is of him doing his bird whistles. He was amazing. ( and very dashing) I thought he looked like Glen Campbell. I love you Aunt Jeanette and hope you and your family forgive us our lack of contact during your last years....Karen
