He was born in Framingham, Massachusetts on March 27, 1977. A graduate of Port Charlotte High School, Class of 1995, Jeff followed his passion to make people look and feel beautiful as a licensed Cosmetologist. He moved from Port Charlotte to Sarasota in 1998, and was most recently working with Ana Molinari Hair Salon in Sarasota. Jeff was an amazing and talented man, who is loved and will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his loving family, mother and step-father, Susan J. and Gary Decker; father, Drew Griner; spouse, Perry Pentz; sisters, Melissa (Mark) O’Neil, Joleen (Genesis Chua) Doherty, Kristin (Jason) Hopkins, and Megan (Jeff) Goerl; brothers, William A. Doherty III, and Jacob (Amy) Decker; god son and god daughters, Gavin Doherty-Chua, Lillian Fresard and Brianna Doherty; nieces, Olivia Doherty-Chua, McElle and Amanda Fresard, Carlee Goerl, and Annabelle Hopkins; nephew, William Doherty IV; cousin Tania Phelan, and many other cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his adoptive father, William A. Doherty, Jr.
Arrangements are by Roberson Funeal Homes & Crematory, Port Charlotte Chapel.

i remember when jeff and perry met my family at disney, it was the first time anthony my son met jeff. jeff was so nervous.. but anthony warmed to him immediately. it was a special moment to see uncle perry and uncle jeff walking and each holding anthony's hands as we walked to space mountain. of course we all rode and perry screamed like a little girl and jeff just laughed.. we will miss jeff with all our hearts
