Jesus was born April 6, 1927 in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico and moved to Port Charlotte 21 years ago from Westfield, Massachusetts. He was an avid fisherman and loved to sing and play his guitar. He was a loving man with a big heart of gold. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Adelina Vazquez; 4 sons, Jesus Torres of Palmer, MA, Nelson (Laura) Torres of W, Springfield, MA, Miguel (Victoria) Torres and Samuel (Rosa) Torres both of Westfield, MA; 3 daughters, Alieda Portillo of Magazine, AR, Minerva(Hector) Rivera of Cidra, P.R. and Evelyn Torres of Hartford, CT; 2 sisters, Ramona Pagan of Greensboro, NC and Maria N. Huertas of W. Hartford, CT; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
