We are all so shocked over the loss of beautiful Joann C. McErlane. She was always fun to be with. We will pray that her beloved family will some how get through this very difficult time. Joann's laugh was infectious and made everyone feel welcome. May all her family meet again in heaven. Joann was a spectacular mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, Godmother, teacher, friend and so much more. May she rest in peace. Praying very hard for all...Lovingly Helen Hendricks and family

So sad to hear of Joann's passing. She was such a helpful and caring person. My grandchildren loved her at school. She was Miss Joann always to them. She was a pillar for the kids at school pickup. God bless her!

For over 10 years, Miss Joann greeted me as I dropped my children off at Neil Armstrong. She was such a positive influence on my children. She will be greatly missed

My sincere condolences to the entire Chrzanowski and McErlane families. I was the kid across the street back in our little town of Runnemede and Jo was like the sister I never had. Jo and the Chrzanowski family played an important role in shaping my adolescence and making my childhood the meaningful and wonderful experience that it was. I so regret that I never made it down to Charlotte to catch-up with Jo as I always envisioned I would. I’ll look forward to doing so in a better place. My heart is a bit broken right now but the memories of our “Wonder Years” together will help me heal. May you rest in peace old friend.

Joanne was an institution at NAES - I was lucky enough to work with her. Her willingness to always do what was best for kids coupled with her sense of humor made her a joy to work with. Her contributions live on after her - like ripples in a pond. My prayer is that this enormous grief washes over her family, and her NAES family gently. Peace.

JoAnn, there will be a BIG hole at Neil Armstrong without you. You were my teacher aide when you first started at Neil. Always there to help grading papers, running things needed for the next weeks and keeping the kids in line. I was honored when you chose me to be Justin's first grade teacher and then again in Fifth Grade. Justin, my heart goes out to you. Your Mom loved you beyond measure. A better Mom there couldn't be. JoAnn was always there to help our Fifth Graders with cloths, shoes, whatever was neccessary to look nice for their promotion ceremony. As I said, there is a BIG hole at Neil now. May the good Lord open the doors of heaven for a new Angel.

JoAnn was always there to lend a hand. Her bright smile, caring attitude, and ability to instill and I can do it attitude in kids was evident daily at NAES and beyond our walls as well. I will miss being able to just look over at her in the classroom and have her know instantly what I was thinking without any words exchanged. She was remarkable with our kids. I will miss you terribly my friend. My prayers are with your family and friends.

JoAnn was my closest friend. As a matter of fact, she was my first friend when I moved to Florida. We hit it off immediately and discovered that we shared a love of consignment shopping, coupon shopping ($10.00 ones were her favorites!) bingo, meeting for coffee and bagels, eating out and our mutual love of jewelry. She was a gem! I called her "Bling Jo", because she always had something on that sparkled. She made time for anyone that needed to talk or needed her sage advice or just wanted to hang out. We didn't come from the same mother, but she was truly my sister! I love you JoAnn and I can't wait until we can meet up again for coffee. ❤️❤️❤️ Jo.
