John Edward Barnosky, 82, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at Tidwell Hospice in Port Charlotte.

John was born September 23, 1939, to the late Simon and Vaida Barnosky.  He served in the United States Army for 23 years retiring as a Sergeant First Class.  John then was the first owner and operator of Sea Tow in Charlotte County, Florida. John had a private pilot license and enjoyed flying. John married  Judith on February 5, 1982, and moved to Florida from Redstone Arsenal, Alabama

Survived by his wife Judith (Harrison) Barnosky of Port Charlotte;daughter,  Michelle Zipperian (Jeff) of Maryland; son, Jeffrey Barnosky of Maryland; sister, Simone Melnick of New York; brother, Edward Barnosky of Port Charlotte; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Graveside services and military honors will be held  Thursday 11:00 AM, Sept. 22, 2022 at Sarasota National Cemetery,  9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, Florida 34241.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, Florida 34238 www.tidewellhospice.org  Friends may visit online at www.robersonfh.com to extend condolences to the family. Arrangements by Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel.
