He was born in Stonington, Connecticut on August 12, 1915, the son of the late John Leander and Annie (nee-McCourt) Meuse. Mr. Meuse graduated from Stonington High School, Class of 1933. He was a Maritime Veteran of World War II. He was retired from General Dynamics Electric Boat Company where he worked in the Quality Control Division. He was also a life member of the Stonington Fire Department, Steamers Engine No. 1.
He leaves one daughter, Barbara M. (Diane) Barber of Port Charlotte, FL, and four nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Meuse was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn M. Spencer of Manchester, CT and Patricia M. Kurimay of Clearwater, FL, and his wife of 48 years, Mary Barbara (nee-Cook) Meuse.
