Jose Nicholas Garcia, 64, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Sunday, October 31, 2021 at home.

Jose was born May 10, 1957 in the Dominican Republic to Teofilo and Venezia Garcia. He immigrated to the United States 1970 with his parents.  He moved to Port Charlotte in 2002 from Haverhill, Massachusetts. He was a U.S. Navy veteran retiring as a Quartermaster Petty Officer Third Class.  Jose was a member of  St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Port Charlotte. He loved to hunt.

Survived by his loving family his wife Linabelle Garcia of Port Charlotte; a daughter, Vanessa Garcia of Port Charlotte; a son, Nicholas Garcia of Port Charlotte; his mother, Venezia Garcia of Margate, FL;  a sister, Miguelina A. Garcia of Margate, FL; three brothers, Moise Garcia of Port Charlotte, Jose Gabrielle Garcia of Haverhill, MA and Adalberto Garcia of the Dominican Republic.

A Catholic Wake Service will be held Thursday 11:00 AM, Nov. 4, 2021 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Military Honors and interment will be held at a later date at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida.
