Joseph G. Giuliante, 89, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Douglas T. Jacobson State Veteran Nursing Home in Port Charlotte.
Joseph was born September 2, 1922 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to Port Charlotte 22 years ago from Marmora, N.J. Joseph was a WWII veteran who served proudly in the U.S. Army. He was a devout member of St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church and a member of Knights of Columbus Council #11483. Joseph was an avid golfer and fisherman but his most cherished moments was being a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be missed very greatly by all who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Santa R. Giuliante; his daughter, Mary Paula (Kevin) Matthews of Richboro, PA; 3 sons, Joseph S. (Christine) Giuliante of Bensalem, PA, Anthony F. (Joan) Giuliante of Somers Point, NJ and Michael J. (Helene) Giuliante of Glenolden, PA; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass with Military Honors will be held 11:00AM, Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church, 1441 Spear St. Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Inurnment will follow at St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church Memorial Gardens.
