JOSEPH C. MEROLES, 80, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Sunday,
April 1, 2007 at Douglas T. Jacobson State Veterans Nursing Home, Port Charlotte.

He was born November 18, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York and moved to
Port Charlotte 15 years ago from Freeport, Long Island, NY. He was a retired
cabinetmaker and a veteran of World War II, U.S. Army. Joseph was a member
of American Legion Post #110 and V.F.W. Post 5690 of Port Charlotte.

He is survived by a son, Michael P. (Roxane) Meroles of Land O’ Lakes, FL;
2 sisters and a brother; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded
in death by his wife, Madeline M. Meroles who died in 2006.
