To the family members of my dear friend and buddy Mr Joe Murphy. I will miss Joe very much because he was not only a friend but like a brother to me... We shared many interests and thoughts on a lot of things. Called Joe on his cell phone at times twice a week and many e-mails sharing some of our photo images.... I will miss calling and talking to Joe. I had called Joe on Monday Jan 7th to see how he was doing and he said that he was having some heart problems and was going to see his doctor. In our conversation he said to me as soon as he was better he would drive up to my home in North Carolina and would pick me up and drive me back down to his home in Florida so we could do a lot of photography and just hang out..... I had told him that I was going to try and drive down to see him end of January mid February so we could be together for a few weeks.... He said that his house was open and my room was always there for me to stay. Joe visited me a few times at my place here in North Carolina and one time when he came up we took my my motor home and we went out on a camping trip to Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont for several weeks to enjoy the scenery and a lot of photography together having a great time doing so. I am sorry that I could not have seen Joe before he passed away but his friendship and memories of doing things together will last me a life time. I will donate to Joe's association to the Blue Knights International in his memory. Take Care Joe...Happy motorbiking in the great beyond.... Zan Nikolaj, Clayton, NC

Joe and I became friends through the Photo Adventures Camera Club. We spent lots of time together sharing our photo and other talents. I will miss him. He was always ready to help if anyone in our camera club needed it. I know he had many illnesses the last couple of years and now hope he will be in a better place. Again, I will miss Joe.
