Judith Ann Dion, 54, of Port Charlotte, Florida succumbed to a heroic battle against
Cancer on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at 3:30 AM. She was surrounded by her loving
and committed family. Judy’s extreme love, devotion and faith in the Holy Virgin
mother guided her passing with peace and contentment.
Born September 22, 1954 to Clyde and Mildred Frazier of Indianapolis, Indiana,
she was one of 18 children who was quickly introduced at the early age of six to a hearty life of farming. It was then that she developed the tenacity for hard work as well shrewd
independence and worldliness. Judy also developed a nurturing spirit to care for others.
Her unselfish and kind demeanor led her to continually work to help others especially disadvantaged children and the elderly. She discovered the calling of community service which led her to association with Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of the Sun Coast.
In business, as in life, Judy was self-taught. She exhibited an innate sense of compassion
that helped her truly understand the needs of her clients while ensuring sensible business
decisions were being made. Judy eventually rose to the positions of office manager and Notary Public for several local real estate organizations including the Southeast Realty of Port Charlotte.
With Judy’s conversion to Roman Catholicism, another of Judy’s lifelong dreams was
fulfilled. She had received the Holy Sacraments of Baptistism, Communion and Confirmation, which were administered by Reverend Robert Mattingley. At the time of
Judy’s passing, she was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Punta Gorda, Florida
Judy’s is survived by her loving husband, Gregory F. Dion, Sr., her daughter, Jenny Nease, three step-children, Gregory F. Dion, Jr. and wife Nikki, Michele Britell and
her husband, Jeff and Kristin Dion. She also survived by eight grandchildren, Bradley
Nease, Cody Nease, Jessica Nease, Kayla Nease, Caitlin Britell, Justin Britell, Skylar
Fountain and Kamryn Nicole Dion and countless brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Judy was adored and beloved by all and will be sorely missed by her family, friends,
