June M. (Nee Loveland) Blanchard of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away surrounded by her loving family, Monday, March 24, 2014. She was born February 5, 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Port Charlotte 12 years ago from Tucson, AZ.

June grew up in Portland, Maine and graduated from Deering High School. She married her childhood sweetheart and they recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. While in Maine they raised their 2 children and worked together in their family business, Blanchard Products. June had a love for her family and friends and friends and always enjoyed life to its fullest.

Survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Edward E. Blanchard, Jr. of Port Charlotte; her son, Edward E. (Connie) Blanchard III of Port Charlotte; 3 grandchildren, Ted (Cathy) Blanchard of Sarasota, Heather (Clay) Henson of North Port and Carrie (Josh) Bush of Boone, NC; 5 great grandchildren, Everett, Caitlin and Kelsey Blanchard of Sarasota and Brodie and Bradley Henson of North Port. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly, in 1998.

There will be a celebration of June’s life will be held by the family over the Easter weekend.

You can shed tears that she is gone Or you can smile because she lived. I remember only good days for all that she gave and did. So many trips up to the lake where I enjoyed those times in Maine eating lobster after lobster and water skiing even in the rain. For all the airfares that she paid and the school clothes she bought never asking for anything in return and for all the love I got. Even when I got older there were still vacations in the Florida sun. She was such a great cook and hostess and I always had so much fun. She was more like a Mom than an Aunt and we shared both laughs and tears and yes, I will really miss her but am thankful for all those years. You can shed tears that June is gone or you can smile because she lived.
