Kathleen Ann Burns Von Aswege, 72, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Sunday, April 22, 2018 at home.

Kathleen was born April 28, 1945 in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania. She was a retired banker and real estate agent. She retired to Florida in 2010 from South Dakota with her husband. Kathleen was an avid Cat Fancier person and AFCA Judge for many years. She showed and judged cats at cat shows in many parts of the world. Kathleen loved her British Shorthair and worked for many to improve the breed.

Survived by her loving husband, Douglas K. von Aswege of Port Charlotte; three daughters, Lisa Whitter of Levittown, PA, Debra Menzenberg of Dakota Duns, SD and Sherry Grieve of Sioux City, IA; a son, Brian von Aswege of Des Moines, IA.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Kathie’s name may be made to the Winn Feline Foundation www.winnfelinefoundation.org or the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org
