Kenneth James Dusseau, 64, of Rotonda West, Florida passed away at home on Friday September 13, 2024 with his wife, Deborah, by his side.
Ken was born December 15, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio. He was the first child of James Harold Dusseau and Barbara Edmonston. Ken graduated from Northview High School in Sylvania, Ohio. He spent the early 80’s playing basketball in England and Greece. He began his career in the asphalt industry in 2013 with Advanced Paving in Venice, FL. From 2014-2016 he was employed at D&G Seal Coating and Striping. 2017-2018 He was employed at Furniture Warehouse in Port Charlotte, FL. He returned to the asphalt business in 2019 when the company was purchased and renamed DG Pavement Solutions Inc. by current owner Ryan Terry. Ken is predeceased by his father James Harold Dusseau and his brother Michael Dusseau. Ken is survived by his wife Deborah (Cutter). They would have celebrated their 23rd anniversary in November and were together for a sum of 30 beautiful years. Ken has received several awards working with D&G Pavement Solutions Inc, including Volunteer of the year and Business Partner of the year. He will dearly be missed by all of his loved ones and the people who had the opportunity to work with him and witness the caring and loving man he truly was. He is also survived by his three daughters Arianna Adoptante, Vanessa Adoptante and Mariah Messier and step daughter Alicia Messier(Greg Cronin) Nicole Messier; 6 grandchildren in total: Elijah Messier, Luke Cronin, Cole Cronin, Maddox Messier, Brixton Messier and Asher Adoptante; sister in law Jill Benoit(Sam Benoit) and nieces Bethany Benoit, Laura Dusseau, Nicole Dusseau, Kaitlin Dusseau, Madison Dusseau, Chelsea Sutton, Morgan Sutton and nephews Brad Benoit, Christopher Dusseau, Joshua Dusseau, Zachary Dusseau, Nicholas Dusseau and Max Dusseau. Ken’s surviving siblings Paul Dusseau (Roberta) Newark, DE, Robert Dusseau Elkton, MD, Julie Sutton (Roy) Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Theresa Edelston (Andrew) Thorton, PA. With several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Southwest Florida Apartment Association is hosting a celebration of life for Ken on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 11AM-2PM at Ter-Tinis Event Center in Fort Myers. Ken was a member of St. Francis of Assisi church in Grove City, FL. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
