Leslie was born on December 16, 1925 in St. Georges, Grenada and moved to Port Charlotte in 1990 from Jersey City, New Jersey. Leslie was a member of El-Bethel Apostolic Tabernacle for many years. He was a good hardworking man and will be missed dearly by his loving wife, family and all who loved and knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Rose Annesita Gooding; a daughter, Janice Gooding of Port Charlotte; 4 sons, Vernon Gooding of Port Charlotte, Francis and Paul Gooding both of Jersey City, NJ and Leroy Williams of Jersey City, NJ; a sister, Melda Gooding of Grenada; 4 brothers, George Gooding of Virgin Islands, Reginald, Frank and Cyrus all from Grenada; 4 grandchildren, Arnelle, Daniella, Jerel and Alyiee; several nieces and nephews and family close friend, Hope Davis of Port Charlotte. He was preceded in death by a son, Lennox Gooding.
Visitation will be held 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, September 20, 2013 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, September 21, 2013 at El Bethel Apostolic Tabernacle, 48145 Chamberlain Blvd. North Port, FL 34286. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Port Charlotte, Florida.
