Mrs. Lillie Ann Deer, 94, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011 in Port Charlotte.

Born Lillie Ann Griffiths on January 24, 1917 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Bert and Lillie Griffiths, Lillie, a retired Registered Nurse, moved from her native Pittsburgh to Punta Gorda, Florida, then later Port Charlotte, with her husband Daniel C. Deer Jr., in 1975. She was a charter and current member of the Burnt Store Presbyterian Church in Punta Gorda, and the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her beloved son Daniel C. Deer III of St. Michaels, MD; nieces, Linda, Terry and Janice; and nephews, Tom, John and David. In addition to her late parents, Lillie was preceded in death by a sister, Eva Carlson on January 22 of this year, and her beloved husband Daniel in April of 2000.
