Linda Carlena Doxie, 76 of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 in Fort Myers, FL. Born April 25, 1938 in Crocketts Bluff, Arkansas, Linda, her husband Daniel their son Keith and daughter Krista moved from Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri to Port Charlotte in 1975. She worked locally for Wal-Mart until her retirement.
Linda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Gail Doxie of Ft. Myers, FL, and daughter and son-in-law, Krista and Bill Kelly of Apopka, FL; and two grandchildren, Delaney and McKenna Kelly. Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Daniel in 1999, and a grandson, Miles Doxie in 2006.
A Memorial service celebrating Linda’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. this Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens cemetery in Port Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s name to Miles of Smiles Foundation, 19810 Gottarde Rd., North Fort Myers, FL 33917.
Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Homes & Crematory Port Charlotte Chapel.
