Linda was born February 10, 1956 in Bethpage, Long Island, New York to the late Ethel (nee-Padrevito) and Jimmy Smarrelli. Even as a young woman having graduated with a degree in Business, Linda strived to always increase her knowledge in everything she did. A resident of Punta Gorda since moving from her native Long Island in 1980, Linda was President and Owner of Certified Inspection Service, Inc. in Charlotte County. In 1995, Linda met the love of her life and husband, Jerry W. “Bug” Fehr. She and Jerry enjoyed working alongside one another every day. Though she left New York, she remained at heart a New York Yankee’s fan, and all who knew and loved her knew her love of animals, especially cats.
Among her favorite things were the waters of the Gulf, her beloved pool, and her construction projects. Her credo in life was that when you got up to bat that your always swing for the fences. Her idea of enjoying life to its fullest was being like Curious George, a cute, little monkey that would always be pressing buttons to start the excitement.
She is survived by her beloved husband and sweetie of 17 years, Jerry; daughter Bonnie Fehr; sister, Vanessa and brother-in-law Joseph “Joe” Petrosino; brother, Jamie Smarrelli; nephews Anthony, Joseph and Daniel Petrosino, and Ryan, Keith and Eric Smarrelli; her maternal aunt and uncle, Rita and Larry Padrevito; and numerous loved cousins. In addition to her parents, a brother, Anthony Smarrelli, preceded Linda in death.
A Gathering will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., with Memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Roberson Funeral Homes Punta Gorda Chapel.
Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Homes & Crematory, Punta Gorda Chapel.

I have been thinking of you everyday since I heard of your passing. Its hard for me to believe since you had so much life and much more to give. You were so very generous with family and friends. I hold in my heart the memories from our times when we were young to our teenage years when we were always getting in trouble for something and then most recently on our visits to you house, when we jumped in the pool with our clothes on.
I was at Mass this morning and I heard your voice in my head, negotiating with God for a Jacuzzi. Really no Jacuzzi here!!!
I will miss you dearly, but I have so many good memories of us with family that I will cherish them. Say Hi to Ethel, Jimmy and Anthony for us.

Nothing I can possibly say could ease the pain.If I could sum up my sisters life as I knew it years ago, there was never enough time in a day to do all the things she wanted. So in closing I just want you to know that she is probably already on a stool at the bar having a drink and trying to figure out what else she can squeeze into the day. Linda I envy you, you have forever now to do everything you want.

I met Linda about10 years ago when I went to visit my sister, Lois Chamberlain, who was living in Florida at the time. Lois & Linda were great friends. We went to her house that she & Jerryhad just built. It was beautiful. Linda was a great hostess & was so happy with Jerry & her new home. Her favorite room was her music room above the garage, where, she said, she "could be as loud as she wanted" without disturbing Jerry. Linda had a beautiful spirit & zest for life. I'm so sorry for her passing.

I was stunned and saddened by Linda's passing. Being a local Realtor, Certified is my "go to" inspection company. I did not know LInda well but considered her more than an aquaintance, a friend. I enjoyed stopping by the office on occasion talking politics with Linda while there. She was smart, had a great sense of humor, a warm heart and as I understood from Jerry, a great cook. I am sure she will be greatly missed by all who knew her well. God speed Linda.
