Lois M. Redmond, 71, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Tidewell Hospice in Arcadia, Florida.
Lois was born July 2, 1940 in Cowansville, PA and moved to Punta Gorda 13 years ago from New Port Richey, FL. Lois was a strong minded woman. She was an avid fisherman and loved to kayak when she could. Her most desired times were when she cruised the Caribbean islands. She was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly A. Calantjis of Largo, FL; 2 sons, Curtis A. Redmond of White Plains, NY and Edwin Redmond of Astoria, NY; a sister, Alene Texter of East Brady, PA; 2 brothers, James Hoffman of Baden, PA and Edward Hoffman of Chicora, PA; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held 10:00AM, Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Indian Spring Cemetery in Punta Gorda, Florida. Inurnment will follow at the cemetery.
