Lucille F. Palenik, age 92, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018, at the Tidewell Hospice House, in Sarasota, Florida.
Born in Illinois to the late Henry and Mary Anna Presler in October of 1925, Lucille and her husband Rudolph A. “Rudy” Palenik, lived in Antioch, Illinois until moving to Port Charlotte in 1977, and together raised seven children. She was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Port Charlotte.
Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years Rudy, in March of 2009. She is survived by her children, sons Raymond, Rudolph Jr. and Robert, and daughters Laura, Lenore, Susan and Mary; twenty grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, four great, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Lucille’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, with committal to follow.
