Lucille Jessie Krasowski, 85, of Sarasota, Florida,formerly of North Port died peacefully in her sleep on April 10, 2012, at Ellenton Hospice House in Ellenton, Florida. Born September 19, 1926, in Bristol, Wisconsin, she is predeceased by her parents, Ernest L. and Olive L. (Fink) Knapp of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and her late husband of 67 years, Edward M. Krasowski of Sarasota, Florida.
Lu (also known as Dottie by her family) was a homemaker living in Racine, Wisconsin and joined with her husband, Ed, in the ownership and operation of Coles Point Resort on the Pike Lake Chain in Fifield, Wisconsin, in 1963. She was a snowbird to the Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte areas in the 1970’s until retirement in 2000. Lu lived in North Port until July of last year when she and her husband moved to Sarasota to be near their daughter and family.
Survivors include her daughters, Carol Jean (Jack J.) Zerovec of Lake Placid, FL, and Cheri (Paul Todd) Davis of Sarasota, FL; grandsons, Mark E. Zerovec and Dr. Paul M. (Donna) Zerovec and step-great granddaughter, Olivia Calderon of Milwaukee, WI; granddaughter, Aimee C. (John T.) Webb and great-grandchildren, Alexander C. Webb and Joanna T. Webb of Sarasota, FL; brother, Lewis E. (Maria) Knapp of Quemado, TX and three nieces and a nephew; and her pets: Buddy (dog), Mahzi, and Melody (cats).
