Margaret was the only grandparent I knew. Growing up in Maryland, we'd drive several times a year to Johnstown, PA to visit with Grandma or she'd visit at our house. We used to play a game when we'd pull up in the driveway to see if we could count down from ten before Grandma popped out the side door to greet us. She was a very active person in her 70's - 80's. She was extremely involved in local volunteer initiatives to look out for or care for other people. She was also active in her Catholic faith. When I think of Grandma, I'll recall things like playing Scrabble with her around her dining room table. I'll also look fondly of one of my favorite memories - visiting her in Florida and taking a beach day trip while listening to herb alpert and the tijuana brass on the rental car's radio. Or I'll think of "field trips" we made while visiting Johnstown to the local playground, incline, or the flood museum. She was a sweet, hard-working woman. She'll be remembered for the active and strong woman she was.

Margaret was a very dear sister to me. So many wonderful memories we shared together. She was my best friend and while growing up always looked out for me. On my wedding day she was my maid of honor. I always knew I count on Margie. In 1986 my husband Joe, Margaret, and I visited my daughter Janet in Belgium. We had a great time visiting different counties but the highlight of the trip was going into Czechoslovakia. It made us realize how grateful we were to our parents for coming to the USA. Margaret and I had good lives and I look forward to seeing her again someday. We were always very proud of our children and grandchildren and grateful for our happy times. Rest in peace dear sister.

Aunt Marge was always a wonderful, generous person to me. She lent me money that I needed for my last year at college. We spent a special day shopping together at Tyson's Corner where she purchased my wedding gown for me. When we visited her when our children were little, she never failed to provide them with candy or money . She was always a fun person, quick to make us laugh and have a good time. Special memories of Aunt Marge will always remain in my heart!

Mom, you will be remembered for all of the wonderful things that you did for friends and family members. You had very strong religious convictions and I am sure that you are in a place enjoying the fruits of those beliefs. I am truly glad that your suffering from Alzheimer's is finished and that you had a very peaceful departure. You will be missed.
