Marie Bulim, 89, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.
Marie, born in Einwinkel, Germany on May 9, 1922, was an amazing homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Marie and her husband Alex moved from their longtime home in Philadelphia where she worked for Frankford Chocolate & Candy Company, to Port Charlotte in 1987. Very active in charity work and her church, the Ukrainian Baptist Church in North Port, Florida, Marie will be lovingly remembered as a kind, giving and caring woman.
She is survived by her children, daughters Halina Drahn of Seattle, WA, and Kristina Frick of Naples, FL, and sons Bruce Bulim of Philadelphia, PA, and Igor Bulim of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Christine Krug, and Carolyn, Jacob and Seth Bulim. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by a sister, Stephania, and her beloved husband of 58 years, Alex.
Visitation with evening Wake service will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, July 15, 2011 at Roberson Funeral Homes Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July16, at Roberson Funeral Home with committal services and entombment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte. Rev. Michael Jakubovich-Gordon, Pastor Ukrainian Baptist Church of North Port, will officiate.
