Marie Fanelli
June 18, 1934 - February 16, 2011

Marie Elizabeth Fanelli, 76, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Wed. February 16, 2011 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte. Marie was born June 18, 1934 in Utica, NY and moved to Port Charlotte in 1989 from New Hartford, NY. Before retirement, Marie worked as an administrative assistant for Westinghouse Corporation as well as Bon Secours St. Joseph hospital. She was a beloved member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic church, both as a choir member and in the church office. She was also a passionate cook and baker, and loved doing things for others.

She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony R. Fanelli of Port Charlotte; a son, Salvatore A. (Susan) Fanelli of Stafford, VA; two daughters, Mary A. (James) Dove of Miami, FL and Ann Marie (Todd) Soukup of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; a brother, Manuel Butch (Jackie) King of Utica, NY, and a granddaughter, Staci A Fanelli. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel, with a wake service at 3:30 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 19, 2011 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. She was also so kind, compassionate, and very down to earth. She even helped me learn the songs in church choir.
