Marilyn will be so greatly missed. It will be immensely difficult to put all that I would love to say into a small guest book entry. I met Marilyn 31 years ago this month and we quickly became friends. I will always remember her laughter, her generosity and kindness, her compassion and understanding, her sense of adventure and her love of animals. Marilyn loved ALL animals but she had a true affinity for cows. Once, during a draught on St.Thomas she collected grasses and fed the cows. That’s Marilyn. She was always there to help out, cook for a party (oh, her potato soup was OUTSTANDING!). Now, simply the mention of the words shells and Marilyn would be ready to go, shell bag in hand. She would beach comb hours on end finding some of the smallest and most delicate shells you can imagine. I guess it’s fair to say we were “shell mates”. Marilyn couldn’t swim, but that didn’t stop her from getting in a small boat to find conch shells. Marilyn loved life and loved her friends and family with all her heart. I am honored to have been her friend and will miss her dearly. Rest peacefully dear friend, we shall laugh together yet again. Our deepest sympathy and condolences to all family and friend during this difficult time. Carol and Ken Swartz Kissimmee, Florida

Marilyn was a dear and loving friend. We met her during her early travels to St. Thomas and remained friends ever since. We were fortunate to have had her as a guest in our house about a year and a half ago. The most fond memory of her was her generosity to the people of the Virgin Islands after Hurricane Marilyn in 1995. She spearheaded collection efforts and send many, many boxed care packages during that time. Another fond memory is when we purchased our home and she insisted on staying on after her vacation to help us paint. She had a wonderful sense of humor and we would laugh until we cried. What a wonderful friend. She will be greatly missed. Our condolances to family and friends. May God bless you all in your loss. Marna & Nathaniel Green St. Thomas, VI
