Martin (Marty) Thomas Bushman, 71, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at his residence.
He was born July 23, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland. A veteran of the U.S. Navy he retired in 1974 after 20 years of service. Retiring a second time as Civil Service Instructor for the U.S. Naval Intelligence Command NIPSTRAFAC in Key West, Florida and then moving to Port Charlotte in 1997. Member of Organ Transplants Receipents of Southwest Florida and the USS Perry Shipmates.
Survived by his loving family, his wife of nearly 33 years, Marelyn Bushman of Port Charlotte; six daughters, Patricia Smith of Ocala, FL, Michelle Peart of Tallahassee, FL, Linda Bosque of Davie, FL, Kathleen Sharrah of Raymond, WA, Christine Bushman
of Port St. Lucie, FL and Mary Jordan of Tallahassee; a son, Martin E. Bushman of
Splendora, TX; a sister, Dianna Pierce of Webster, FL; three brothers, William
Bushman of Spotsylvania, VA, Patrick Bushman of Floral City, FL and James
Bushman of Richmond, VA; His 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren will
miss his humor and kindness. Preceded in death by his parents, William and
Florence Bushman and a son, Dan Drake.
