Mary was born to Herman and Grace Woodard on March 22, 1932 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved to Hollywood, Florida in 1984. Betty was a member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Port Charlotte. She was a retired school teacher for the Broward County Schools in Broward County, Florida. She served on the Board of Deep Creek Civic Association, Deep Creek Property Owners Section 23 and held offices at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Port Charlotte in addition to South Port Square Council and President of Scholarship Funding. She was a wonderful woman who loved life to the fullest and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Survivors include her daughters, Gayle Creekmore of Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho and Betty Jane Kirkhuff of Stroudsburg, PA and 1 grandchild. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur Renfer, Jr.
A Graveside Service will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte, Florida.
