Mary was born March 30, 1935 in Manchester, New Hampshire and moved to Port Charlotte 23 years ago from there. Mary was a member of the Red Hat Society in Port Charlotte for many years. She was proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed family get together singing Irish songs and storytelling. Her grandchildren were the sparkle in her eyes and she will be forever remembered through them. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Joseph J. Jerome; a daughter, Sheila A. Mann of Fort Myers, FL; three sons, David J. Jerome of Manchester, NH, Joseph M. Jerome of Tampa, FL and Daniel L. Sayer of Manchester, NH; a sister, Violet Sullivan of Port Charlotte, FL; two brothers, Daniel Goonan of Manchester, NH and Richard Goonan of Brunswick, OH; and eight grandchildren, Eric, Scott, Bridget, Daniel, Cailey, Lauren, Kennedy, and Campbell. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Michael and Mary Ann Goonan and her brother, Michael Goonan.
