MARY W. KLATTHAAR, 96, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Wednesday,
December 14, 2011 at Peace River Regional Medical Center, Port Charlotte.
She was born May 27, 1915 in Archbald, Pennsylvania to Michael and Katherine Kearney Walsh and moved to Port Charlotte in 1986 from Greenwich, Connecticut. Mary was a retired financial secretary for Mobil Oil Co. and the Buick dealership in Greenwich. She was member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and the Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club. She served as a volunteer at Health Plus in Port Charlotte for many years, a world traveler and a avid golf at Maple Leaf Golf Club up into her nineties.
She is survived by a sister, Agnes Scott of Port Charlotte, a nephew and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard, brother, Robert Walsh and a sister, Edna Dudrap.
A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday 11:00 Am, December 20, 2011 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Port Charlotte. Interment will be held later in St. Mary’s – Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
